By your work | Guide to Professional Practice
Howsoever small or big may be the work; if it is handled carefully, it will earn you a good name. A satisfied client is your canvasser. A good work becomes your advertisement and you stand a chance to get more works. Therefore, an architect shall never neglect his work.
A successful work brings him more works. For instance, in your early days of practice, you may be asked by my uncle to add a staircase and a two stories toilet block to an existing bungalow, which I did with zeal and minute details.
The contractor who was an engineer himself had never seen before detailed drawings made for a work. Both the owner and the contractor became my admirers. Even today after becoming a pretty experienced in profession, I shall tell that all the practice you collect would be and should be through your wider contacts and acquaintances and as a result of actual work done by you.
